Kiss Concert 2024

Creative Direction + Design: The theme of this particular year started off with a gradient I’d been really favoring while brainstorming and sketching out the creative direction of the show this year. I’d been drawing quite a bit on my iPad, lots of bubble letters and knew I wanted to go down that route for the logo but also knew a proper font was needed. Hand-lettered logos hadn’t been overly functional for this brand in the past. As the concept started to flesh out I started to refer to the design as “sherbet” — and well, that’s what we ran with until the end. Similar to past years this project included a robust variation of different medium uses: print, digital, 3D set design and video. Merch design included t-shirts, tote bags, and my usual favorite: an enamel pin. On-site set buildouts mimicked the design from elaborate balloon walls to a custom tufted rug made by a local small business owner that was a hit with everyone!
